Hello Neighbor review

Hello Neighbor is a popular action-horror franchise by a young and ambitioгs team of Russian developers, Dynamic Pixels. This is a dark story of a small boy who appears to be so brave that he sneaks into his spooky neighbor’s house to investigate what dirty deeds Mr. Peterson does in his basement. But the case appears to be too tough and dangerous for him …

Game Details – 5/5

In the Hello Neighbor game, you play Nicky, a boy who lives in an ordinary American suburb. His life could be normal, but one day he witnesses how his neighbor, Mr. Peterson pushes someone into his basement.

The man screams in despair, and no one hears him, but Nicky. The boy dares to sneak into the building to figure out what happens in the basement. Of course, the door is closed on several locks, and the only way to get inside is to find and steal all the keys.

The Neighbor is a clever enemy, though. He notices the signs of Nicky’s presence and reacts quite quickly.

Controls – 5/5

Hello Neighbor is available on a variety of platforms, and the control scheme is adapted to keyboard, touchscreen, and console controller input types. No matter which one of them you choose, high gameplay quality is guaranteed.

If you play on PC or mobile, you have an option to use a controller as an alternative to the default input type.

Care for a Replay? – 4/5

Hello Neighbor is a medium-length game with around 10-12 hours of gameplay. However, this includes multiple rounds that you have to complete in order to outsmart the AI and come through a variety of obstacles. The game is rather challenging even on low difficulty levels, so it’s exciting for hardcore players to replay it on high levels. You can also try to speedrun the game or stream it to have fun with your subscribers.

Visual Aspect – 5/5

The visuals of Hello Neighbor are quite far from realism, but they have a unique style, which makes the game a real masterpiece. The graphics perfectly support the story and let you feel like you are a young boy who got lost in a mysterious place full of dangers.

Sound – 5/5

It’s important to play the game with your headphones on or with high-quality speakers as the soundscape is very ambient and adds up spice to the overall atmosphere. Sometimes, your ears may save you from sudden attacks of the Neighbor, so be attentive.

Great

Although Hello Neighbor isn’t the scariest game out there, it’s definitely one of the most creative horrors of the last 5 years. The game combines a unique story, surrealistic visual style, and high-quality stealth-action mechanics to make you feel like a young child trapped within a spooky house of a mad man who lives next door and probably kills people. The game is available for a variety of platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, iOS, and Android.
