Brenda Ratcliff's Web Page

Welcome to my redesigned website! For those of you who have visited in the past, the look is different but most of the content remains the same, with a few minor exceptions. Like most people, I wear many hats so while the title of this site refers to my interest in the Jewish holidays, you will also find information on some of my other interests. As a mother of three wonderful adult children, I continue to be interested in all things related to the family. I am involved in correctional ministry through my work at the Institute for Prison Ministries and as a regular volunteer teacher in our county jail so am very interested in topics related to this field. I am a graduate student in counseling and am particularly interested in abuse and domestic violence, especially when religion is used. As a pilgrim (both to Israel and in life) and having grown up in a conservative religious environment, I too well understand the harm that religious abuse creates in an individual’s life. The common thread running through all of my work and interests, however, is my desire to love God and to allow His love for me to overflow into the lives of others. Enjoy!

I am especially grateful for my husband of 30 years and for his wonderful work in the redesign of this site.
