I am researching the small town of Ratcliff,
Arkansas that was incorporated in 1907. It is said to have been named
for a "Ratcliff" who was either a surveyor or a construction
engineer for the Arkansas Central Railroad. Ratcliff came into being
because of the railroad, which connected Paris, Arkansas to Fort Smith.
I would like to know if anyone knows who he was, and could provide me with
more information about him.
