The Kennerley Family

My oldest kENNERLEY relatives I have been able to trace back to is William KENNERLEY, born around 1647 at Cheshire, UK. He later married ALICE.

They Had the founding Children of Quaker fellowship as I understand it.

Another point of interest of the KENNERLEY family, is that there were a lot of policement in the family too as well as clergy. Joseph KENNERLEY was a farmer and was buried at smallwood in Chershire. Also his sons Samuel, walter, joseph and george KENNERLEY were policemen and amos KENNERLEY (born 1877) was a farmer.

Samuel married Alice, Walter married Fanny,Herbert ran/worked on coldwell and brook farm, Joseph lived in Stons,

George lived in Knutsford, and Amos in Tamworth, Mary married a Bradbury, Harriet married Amos KENNERLEY her 1st cousin!

William b.1779 in Goostrey Cheshire, England is the

married Mary Mitchell.George b.1847 is son of Samuel.

He married Emily Dean.Arthur Kennedy Kennerley is the

son of George. George Reid Kennerley is the son of Arthur.

He married Mary Muriel Smith.Mary Muriel Smith is my mother.

Mary Smith is the 3rd great granddaughter of Judith

Crow, who was the sister of Captain Hugh Crow.Captain

Hugh Crow raise Judith Hinds' children,On the lost of his

sister .The Crow line is connected to the Radcliffe famly

line. Also, the Crow's of Isle of Man;that is the Manx Crowes

fit into the Haplotype R1b, which is suppose to represent

the earliest inhabitants of Europe. The Crows also suppose to

have a genetic link to the Maher/Meagher family.I understand

that all of the variations of Radclyffe (Radcliffe/Ratcliffe

/Ratliff, etc) are the same families. It is not uncommon to see

several siblings in one family with different surnames spelling.

This is also true for the Kennerly line. This book"Our Radclyffe

heritage : a history of the Radclyffe family in England and

Virginia,"by June Ratcliffe McReynolds" can be found at the

Library of Virginia.I have not found Radcliffe/Crow connection.
