celebrating the work of James Edwin Loder

WELCOME!

T FAITH refers to faith that is transformative of the whole person. The shape of the t symbolizes the centrality of Christ in spiritual transformation. James E. Loder (1931-2001), Professor of Christian Education at Princeton Theological Seminary, wrote at length about transformation, emphasizing the christocentric aspects of that process. The book for which he is best known is The Transforming Moment (1989). Other books include The Logic of the Spirit: Human Development in Theological Perspective (1998), and The Knight's Move: The Relational Logic of the Spirit in Theology and Science (senior author, 1992).

This web page is a tribute to Dr. Loder's work, and includes links to several of his publications, including the unedited and unpublished manuscript for his final book, Educational Ministry in the Logic of the Spirit. If there are additional internet materials authored by or closely related to Loder's work, please notify the webmaster here.

Comments about these manuscripts can be made at a special discussion page located at www.jamesloder.ning.com.
